Ordering
Where do you ship?
We ship domestic (USA) using USPS or UPS if expedited shipping is purchases. We also ship international using DHL.
How long does shipping take?
Please allow 1-4 business days to pack your orders. Domestic standard rates will ship via USPS from our warehouse in California. International orders will ship via DHL Express.
How do I track my order?
You will receive tracking info via email when your order ships. If you do not receive an email, please check your spam or feel free to reach out. You can also login above to get tracking information.
Shipping cost
Domestic shipping under $150 is $8.50. Free shipping over $150 on domestic orders. $30 expedited shipping on domestic orders.
International orders shipping costs:
Australia- $22
Middle East- $35
Canada/Mexico- $20
Everywhere else- $25
If you live in a more rural area that DHL deems harder to access, there may be additional shipping costs. Should this be the case, we will reach out to you with your options.
Customers are responsible for duties and taxes owed in their respective countries. DHL will reach out to collect taxes and duties if applicable. If the customer is not able to be located, or the package is refused as a result of failure to pay duties and customs fees, the package will be destroyed per DHL's policy. We are not responsible for any packages that have been unclaimed, refused or destroyed and will not be able to provide refunds in this case.
Return, refund & exchange policy
We want you to love your RAT BOI wears. If you aren’t fully satisfied, please initiate a return within 15 days of the delivery date of your item. We gladly accept returns and exchanges for any new and unused items (excluding personal items*) purchased at full price, unless otherwise specified. Items obtained with a bundle discount are eligible for exchange or store credit only. Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.
A gentle reminder to exercise caution with makeup, deodorant, etc., during clothing try-ons, as we can only accept returns for items in unworn, unused condition, exactly as they were received. Any unauthorized returns or items sent back in unsellable conditions which include, but are not limited to, deodorant stains, pet hair, missing tags, and odor/fragrance, are subject to rejection upon processing and no refund, exchange, or store credit will be issued.
RAT BOI monitors returns to identify potential misuse or abuse of our return policies. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
*Personal Items
All underwear are considered personal items. For sanitary reasons, we are not accepting returns exchanges or refunds on any personal items. Bras and camis are eligible for return or exchange so long as they are unworn, sellable condition with all original tags still attached.
Can I return/exchange items if I change my mind?
We accept returns or exchanges on all items purchased at full price with the exception of underwear bottoms, which are considered final sale for sanitary reasons. Items purchased using a bundle discount or coupon code are eligible for exchange or return for store credit only. Returns are only available for US orders.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer refunds on returns of items purchased at full price that have been unworn and still have the original tags attached. Refunds may only be issued on items that are in resealable condition that that comply with our return policy. Any unauthorized returns or items sent back in unsellable conditions which include, but are not limited to, deodorant stains, pet hair, missing tags, and odor/fragrance, are subject to rejection upon processing and no refund, exchange, or store credit will be issued.
Can I return a sale item?
All items purchased using a bundle discount are eligible for exchange or return for store credit only. Items purchased during site wide sales (including but not limited to Black Friday) specified as final sale are considered final sale. Final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.
Do you offer Discounts?
From time to time, we do offer promotions to our email and text subscribers. First time customers/subscribers to our email list get a discount code to use on their first order that must be used within 7 days of receiving the code.
I submitted a review and haven't received a code.
Thank you for reviewing your last purchase! It can take a few business days to receive the code in your inbox. They do like to end up in the spam inbox so double check there!
I have a discount code but it is not working.
This can happen if you are trying to apply a discount code to bundled discount items in your cart. Unfortunately our site does not allow for multiple discounts to be applied to a cart. This can also happen if your coupon code is expired. Most coupon codes expire within 7 days of being sent. If you need further help with your discount code, please reach out to our team.
My bundle discount is not working.
Please note that discounts or coupon codes cannot be combined with any other discounts or bundle pricing so if there is already a discount applied to your order that may be the issue!
If your bundle discount is not showing up in your cart or checkout page, please try to clear your browser cache and retry your order.

Can I change my order?
Our customer service team does our best to accommodate changes to your shipping address, size, or items within your order prior to shipping your items. While we make every effort to accommodate such changes, we cannot guarantee responsibility for alterations made prior to shipping. Once your items have been shipped, any returns or exchanges are subject to our established return policy. We are not responsible for orders shipped to the incorrect address due to an incorrect address being inputted at checkout. For any adjustments needed in your order, please promptly reach out to our customer service team as soon as possible.
Can I cancel my order?
For any order cancellation requests, please reach out to our customer service team as soon as possible. Once orders are shipped, they are subject to our established return policy.
Which payment types do you accept?
Rat boi accepts payments via all major credit cards, PayPal, apple pay, and Shop pay interest free installments.
Do you offer Afterpay, or Shop Pay?

How long should a refund take to reach me?
Once we receive your return, please allow 5-10 business days for our team to process your return and to see funds on your bank statement. Return shipping for refunds to the original payment method will be deducted from your return. Return shipping for domestic exchanges or returns for store credit is free.

Do you offer gift receipts?
Our return portal allows customers to return or exchange items that were gifted to them - no gift receipt necessary.
Do you offer gift cards?
We offer digital gift cards ranging from $25 - $300. Gift cards allow your loved ones to choose their favorite products or their specific size. Digital gift cards are delivered by email and contain instructions to redeem them at checkout. If you would like to purchase a RAT BOI gift card for a loved one, simply select "I want to send this item as a gift" and enter the recipient's information.
How long are gift cards valid for?
Gift cards do not expire.
Can I exchange a gift card for cash?
Gift cards are final sale and ineligible for exchange for cash.

What are your items made from?
We put a lot of thought and care into the materials we source and use to create our small batch, ethically made basics. Our commitment to sustainable and ethical production is comprised of three components - 1. creating high quality pieces built to last, 2. choosing natural, biodegradable fabrics, 3. paying our sewers fair wages. COTTON BASICS
Our cotton basics collection is made from high quality, compressive, and breathable 95% Cotton 5% Spandex. Cotton is a natural, biodegradable textile and its longevity and versatility make it a durable choice by increasing longevity in clothing items and reducing the need for frequent replacements.
Our cotton is also 100% GOTS certified. We’re proud to be GOTS certified — the Global Organic Textile Standard. This means our products meet the highest standards for organic textiles, from environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing to safe, sustainable materials. It’s your guarantee of ethical and eco-friendly quality.

TENCEL™ BASICS
Our TENCEL™ Basics are made from silky, soft TENCEL™ – a luxury eco-friendly material that is fully compostable and biodegradable. It is soft, strong and boasts moisture-wicking antimicrobial properties. Our fabric is made from sustainable wood sources and woven in LA.
DEADSTOCK FABRICS
Deadstock textiles are surplus or unused fabric from other fashion brand's production, contributing to textile waste. Using deadstock in our pieces reduces our environmental impact by repurposing existing materials, minimizing resource consumption, reducing transportation emissions, and promoting sustainability. It aligns with our commitment to creating ethically made, slow fashion pieces.
Is your packaging sustainable?
REGENERATIVE PACKAGING
Regular plastic poly bags take ages to break down, and 79% end up in landfills, where they break down into toxic particles that pollute our environment, contaminate our oceans, and harm our food chains. Our bags are made from 100% Recycled LDPE + BDP®. It has an added organic compound that microbes love to eat. Once these bags have been used, reused, recycled, and thrown out, tiny bacterial eat it all up leaving behind compost for our soil and clean biogas that can be collected for energy. COMPOSTABLE MAILERS
Our packaging cleans up! Literally. Every one of our mailers is made from 100% plastic pollution collected from coastal communities in Southeast Asia. It's made in a very low energy, low impact process.
Designed for a short eco-friendly journey, our compostable mailers break down in a home compost in just 3-6 months, and even faster in commercial composting facilities. They are reusable for easy returns, reducing additional packaging waste. They are safe for worms, worm farms, and bokashi bins. Our certifications include AS 5810 Home Compostable, OK Home Compost, and Seedling AS 4736.
Check out the code on the back of the mailer to learn where the plastic pollution used to make it was rescued from. Please reuse it if you can and then recycle it with your soft plastics and other plastic bags. Traceable. Carbon Neutral. Certified. Better for our planet.
How do I wash my items?
For the longevity, please follow our care instructions on your garment label.
COTTON BASICS - scoop back cami, low rise underwear, perfect scoop bodysuit, high rise underwear, scoop back bra
95% cotton, 5% spandex
All cotton basics are pre-shrunk however to ensure a long life we recommend washing this garment in cold water and line drying or tumbling on low heat.
TENCEL BASICS - ballet bolero, contour tube top, low rise thong
94% TENCEL™ micromodal, 6% spandex
This eco-friendly, plant-based fiber requires some additional care. Always wash your TENCEL™ pieces in cold water on gentle cycle and lay flat to dry. To avoid pilling, launder inside out, preferably in a laundry bag. Using heat during washing or drying will result in your garment shrinking and potentially pilling.
How do I stop my items shrinking?
Launder according to the care instructions listed on your garment or on the product page. Our cotton basics textiles are pre-shrunk before sewing. Items will naturally stretch slightly with wear and shrink back up in the wash. If you want to avoid your garment shrinking, launder on cold and lay flat to dry.
How do I stop my items from pilling?
Our TENCEL™ basics are made from an eco-friendly luxury fiber. In our commitment to sustainability, they do not contain any additional toxic chemicals that usually help to prevent pilling. To avoid pilling, launder inside out, preferably in a laundry bag. Using heat during washing or drying will result in your garment shrinking and potentially pilling. Additionally, avoid wearing your TENCEL™ basics with other rough fabrics rubbing on it as that can sometimes lead to increased risk of pilling.

MEASURING: Use a cloth tape measure over bare skin or skin tight clothing to get your most accurate measurements.
Our basics run true to size. We recommend sizing down if you are between sizes and would like a more supportive fit and size up if you want a more relaxed fit. Do you have a curve range?
We offer sizes XS-3X and our sizing fits true to size.
What if I'm in between sizes?
We recommend sizing down if you are between sizes and would like a more supportive fit and size up if you want a more relaxed fit. The item I want is out of stock. Can I pre-order?
Occasionally, we provide our customers with the exciting opportunity to pre-order upcoming styles, allowing you to secure your favorite items before they officially launch. Our small batch model means our styles sell out quick and pre-orders ensure you get your pieces before we launch them to the general public.

How often are items restocked?
Our slow fashion model means all RAT BOI items are made ethically in small batches in order to reduce waste. We only make what we will sell and often times that means we sell out quickly of certain sizes or colorways. The good news is we keep a lot of popular colorways in stock. You can also sign up to be notified by email when your favorite piece comes back in stock on the product page. Select your size & color and if it's out of stock, a box to enter your email will appear where you can receive restock notifications the second it comes back in stock :)

I want to exchange but the size/colour is out of stock. Can I choose a different size/colour?
We are so sorry the size/color you had your eye on is sold out. Yes, you can absolutely choose a different colorway or size for your exchange.

Our founders & team
Hello! I'm Alexa, and I established RAT BOI in July 2019. After concluding my 7-year film career focused on creating environmental documentaries, I started conceiving and crafting one-of-a-kind, small-batch creations in my garage.
In the initial phase, RAT BOI's primary offerings encompassed scrunchies, upcycled vintage duffel bags, totes, and pullovers. We introduced our first line of basics and undies in 2020, featuring our signature lace elastic trim and satin rose—both of which have since become hallmarks of our brand.
As the demand exceeded my capacity, I recognized the necessity to outsource some work without compromising our core values of creating high-quality, ethically made pieces. Following an extensive process of searching for and vetting partners in our local area, we proudly relocated RAT BOI's production to a family-run factory in Los Angeles, where our highly skilled sewers receive fair wages to craft your garments.
Ultimately, we moved out of the garage and into our dedicated studio, allowing us to expand our small but mighty team :) Our goal was to create high-quality pieces intentionally and ethically, and although it's not always easy, witnessing people continue to discover and fall in love with our core styles feels like a significant win :)

From day one, we have offered an inclusive size range and designed our styles with every body in mind. We spend countless hours fitting our pieces to various fit models rather than using standard sizing rules so your items fit your body perfectly.
At RAT BOI, there are no hidden costs in the form of labor exploitation or low-quality materials, as is common with most fast fashion brands. We understand that shopping ethically isn't always accessible for everyone, so we strive to be as transparent as possible in our practices and pricing. We are committed to producing only what we know we will sell and pricing our pieces based on the actual costs of production, avoiding needless markup and dependence on seasonal sales to move surplus inventory.

We have a private studio located in Ventura, CA. From time to time we open our doors for pop us or sample sales. The best way to be notified of our pop ups is to subscribe to our mailing list and follow us on instagram.
We also have the option to do local pick up if you live nearby! Local pick up hours are Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM. We are not available on weekends and we are closed on major holidays.
